The Shelbyville Times-Gazette, located in Middle Tennessee, is seeking a dynamic journalist to lead its newsroom and to promote strong community relationships. This is a high-energy position and requires someone with sound organizational skills, a passion for community news, and a zeal for high journalistic standards.
The editor is expected to provide hands-on leadership of multi-platform print and digital products, including a newspaper, website, magazines and other publications. A strong understanding of online content strategies, including social media, is important.
The successful candidate will lead a staff of dedicated and experienced journalists focused on stories that are meaningful, important and interesting to Bedford County residents.

A member of Rust Communications, headquartered in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the Times-Gazette publishes 5 days a week including Sundays in Bedford County, Tenn. Shelbyville is located approximately 1 hour south of Nashville.
