Brent Addleman has been named the Glen Rose Reporter's new managing editor, Publisher David Compton recently announced.

Addleman comes to Glen Rose with an outstanding 18-year career in community, service-minded journalism. "After sifting through dozens of applicants, it was clear to us that Brent was a perfect fit," Compton said. "With the better part of two decades in the industry, Brent brings his passion for community journalism and leadership to the community of Glen Rose. We are proud to introduce him as the new managing editor."

Addleman began his career as a sports reporter in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New York. He served as group editor of three daily newspapers based in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania before becoming group editor for Tioga Publishing Company's four newspapers in north central Pennsylvania. He most recently served as page designer in Paxton Media Group's creative division in Owensboro, Ky.

Compton said Addleman is an exceptional writer who vividly brings stories to life and spotlights the community. "The Glen Rose Reporter has been widely recognized as one of the best small newspapers in Texas many times over by multiple organizations winning prestigious titles such as best website, best journalist and sweepstakes awards. It was not surprising that the opportunity to lead the editorial coverage was so coveted," Compton said.
