Borrell Associates names VP of research

Corey Elliott has been promoted to vice president of research at Borrell Associates Inc.

Elliott, who came to Borrell from Gannett's research department in 2014, will continue to be in charge of all of Borrell's research operations, including divisions that handle direct consumer and advertiser research. Since his arrival, he's enhanced the methodology and inputs that fuel Borrell's ad-spending numbers and forecasts and has been significantly strengthening the company's ability to track spending on digital marketing services.

"Corey has an instinctive grasp of complex research results that can't be taught," said Kip Cassino, executive vice president at Borrell. "His insight and hard work have made all of Borrell's efforts more thoughtful and far more precise. Beyond all of that, he is a pleasure to work with."

Elliott has more than 15 years of experience in strategy and research. As director of market intelligence at Gannett, he worked across the company's media properties to grow advertising revenue by providing research and data support.
