Photo / Video Contest finalists are named

SNPA has announced the finalists in this year's Photo / Video Contest.

Two sets of awards will be announced at the News Industry Summit:

  • Awards from our official judges selected by The Associated Press.
  • Awards voted on by SNPA members and their readers in the Readers' Choice category.

Photos submitted by the following photographers have placed in the top three in one of the four contest categories (spot news, sports, features or videos) – in either the judges' or Readers' Choice categories.  In a few cases in the Readers' Choice Awards, some awards were left in a tie.

  • The winners will be announced on Thursday morning, Sept. 15, at the News Industry Summit in Sarasota, Fla. In addition, a number of additional entries will be recognized with Honorable Mentions from the AP judges.

    The winners of the Photo / Video Awards, together with the photos and judges' comments, will be posted on the SNPA website following the announcement in Sarasota.
