GateHouse adds Bowl, National Championship pages to lineup

GateHouse Media's Center for News and Design will provide customers a five-week series of paginated pages containing capsules and highlights for college football Bowl games and the National Championship series.

The pages will feature updates on each bowl team and feature stories on the biggest games of the week. Pages are offered in broadsheet and can include advertising positions at the bottom of the page.

Newspapers can purchase a bowl season pass, which provides access to all pages. Individual pages are also available for purchase.

"The college football bowl season is setting up to be a terrific one and because of the interest with our weekly football games we saw these bowl pages as a great addition that publishers would find valuable," said David Arkin, senior vice president of content and product development.

The pages begin after the conference championships the first Saturday in December and run up to the National Championship game. The first page will offer conference wrap-up coverage, then additional pages will preview bowl games, followed by the championship series coverage, then a preview of the season-ending national championship game.

The Center for News & Design is a major hub for Gatehouse Media's content operations, driving product strategy across all platforms. It provides design and editing services to more than 200 of the company's publications, as well as content processing for 100 titles through its Community Content group. The center is also home to More Content Now, which develops special sections, weekly pages and original content for publishers and marketers. The center is offering its services to outside newspapers.
