Konrad LaPrade named regional ad director

Konrad LaPrade has been named regional advertising director of four GateHouse Media properties in Western North Carolina and South Carolina. LaPrade will lead the advertising departments of the Herald-Journal (Spartanburg, S.C.), the Hendersonville (N.C.) Times-News, The Gaston Gazette (Gastonia, N.C.) and the Shelby (N.C.) Daily Star.

LaPrade had been the advertising director for the Gastonia and Shelby properties. He adds the Spartanburg and Hendersonville operations to his responsibilities. The Herald-Journal's former ad director, Caralyn Bess, left the company recently.
