Jeff Masters, a veteran South Georgia newspaper executive, has been appointed publisher of the Thomasville (Ga.) Times-Enterprise, succeeding the late Norman Bankston.

Chris White was appointed general manager of the paper. She was the Times-Enterprise advertising manager from 2004 to 2015. For the past year, she has served as advertising manager for The Moultrie (Ga.) Observer, a sister publication.

Masters is a regional executive for Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc., the parent company for the Times-Enterprise. He's also the publisher of the CNHI-owned Valdosta (Ga.) Daily Times, and he will continue in that role.

"We are excited to have this team of dynamic newspaper professionals to lead our team at the Times-Enterprise and serve the Thomasville market," said Steve McPhaul, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc.

"Jeff Masters is a proven newspaper leader with an accomplished career in South Georgia," said McPhaul. "Chris White is well known in the Thomasville community and will bring a high level of service to our advertising partners and readers."
