Jake Mienk named publisher in Corsicana

Jake Mienk, an experienced newspaper executive, has been named publisher of the Corsicana (Texas) Daily Sun.

Mienk is currently publisher of the Palestine (Texas) Herald-Press.  He will continue in that role, as well as serving as publisher of the Daily Sun.

"It is truly an honor to become part of the team at the Daily Sun. This newspaper has deep roots in the Corsicana community and in Navarro County. I look forward to maintaining its rich tradition of high-quality journalism," said Mienk. "We will continue to provide our readers and advertisers the best customer service possible."

Mienk is a graduate of Northwood University in Midland, Mich. He and his wife, Teena, have two sons.
