Presteligence releases keyword alerts for My Team Scoop

Presteligence announces the ability for fans to request keyword notifications when their favorite teams, schools, leagues and players are mentioned.

Different than following a team, which triggers score updates and news notifications, fans can now follow athletes, schools, leagues and teams to receive email notifications when their favorites are tagged in stories and photo captions. The notifications attract viewers to the site to read the article or view photos. The increase in page views ultimately allows media companies to sell sponsorships for the emails as well as targeted advertising by sport, school, league and team. Fans could be anyone, including the players themselves, parents and family members, as well as rival players and college recruiters.

When stories or captions contain a player's name, team, school or league, My Team Scoop automatically links the word to the respective team or player profile page within the website. My Team Scoop automatically tags words requiring no additional work from the reporters.
