Denee Stirpe named VP/HR for GateHouse Media

Denee Stirpe has been named vice president of human resources for GateHouse Media, LLC. Stirpe most recently served as human resources executive for Xerox Corporation's Large Enterprise Operation, a division with over 8,000 employees.

"Denee's human resource experience, together with her HR leadership roles at Xerox have provided her with a rich background in organizational design, change management, mergers & acquisitions, talent management, compensation and strategic workforce planning," said Kirk Davis, CEO of GateHouse Media. "These are exactly the qualities and experience we need to support the company's recent and anticipated growth."

Stirpe will be responsible for developing and supporting the company's strategic direction in people management and overall culture. She will lead the human resources staff throughout the company to identify and implement best practices in human resource management and serve the distinct needs of the organization's increasingly diverse workforce.

Stirpe's educational and training credentials include a B.S., Industrial Relations from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and an MBA from Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester (N.Y.). In addition, she participated in a highly selective Harvard Breakthrough Leadership course while at Xerox. Stirpe is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
