Las Vegas Review-Journal goes live with Memoriams
The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Boulder City Review and Pahrump Valley Times are now live with Adpay's Memoriams solution to power obituary self-serve for their funeral homes and private party individuals. Las Vegas relied on the endorsement of Memoriams by the Local Media Consortium in choosing this strategy to protect and grow its local and out-of-area obituaries. On-site training is scheduled for funeral directors to ensure a seamless transition.
Memoriams is the nation's only network solution. It provides intuitive obituary order entry locally, and subsequently to over 3,000 newspapers around the U.S. and Canada. Media partners experience an average of 30 percent in revenue increases per order, while streamlining workflow for their funeral directors and internal staff. The free, integrated "We Remember" memorial pages from Ancestry also enhance the print obituary with a digital remembrance, in perpetuity.
A unique loyalty program and seven-day-a-week customer support offers additional incentives and value to Vegas-area funeral homes and their newspaper team. Memoriams eliminates errors and make-goods, as previews are built in InDesign, with exact rating, according to the styles and pricing packages of each newspaper. A direct import of data into the Las Vegas Naviga front-end system and Legacy.com provides for pagination of the obituaries and timely website updates.
Belinda Englman, vice president of digital at The Las Vegas Review-Journal, states: "Memoriams makes sense for our papers and our funeral homes. So many residents here have connections to other communities. Memoriams creates an easy means to capture obituaries in our market, place additional notices around the country and to gain more content from out-of-market. It is a win-win for everyone."
Mike Heene, general manager of Memoriams, states: "We are excited to serve this important market with a platform that is designed for the specific needs of the newspapers, funeral homes and consumers."
