The Kokomo (Indiana) Tribune and its sister newspaper, the Logansport (Indiana) Pharos-Tribune, seek an accomplished advertising director to lead its regional print and digital sales teams.
Applicants should have experience in advertising management, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and keen knowledge of digital products, especially the growth opportunities they present. They also must have proven revenue-retention and consultative selling skills.
The regional advertising director develops and executes marketing strategies across newspaper, magazine and digital platforms to maximize ad sales and enhance print and online market share. The person works with the regional publisher and department managers to ensure profitability by meeting revenue and expense targets.
The Kokomo Tribune is a seven-day newspaper with a circulation of 12,000 daily and 14,000 on Sunday. The Logansport Pharos-Tribune is a six-day newspaper with a circulation of 5,500 daily and 6,500 on Saturday.
Kokomo is officially known as the "City of Firsts" for its industrial and technical achievements over the years. The county seat of Howard County, Kokomo is set against a backdrop of historic buildings, public art spaces and Purdue University’s College of Technology as well as branch campuses of Indiana University and Indiana Wesleyan University. Located in central Indiana, it is 50 miles north of Indianapolis.
Logansport, which is 25 miles northwest of Kokomo, is the county seat of Cass County. The Pharos-Tribune recently celebrated its 175th birthday, making it one of the oldest newspapers in Indiana.
