'Back Roads: People, Places and Pie Around Virginia'

"Back Roads: People, Places and Pie Around Virginia," a hardcover book featuring the pictures of Richmond Times-Dispatch photographer Bob Brown and the words of columnist Bill Lohmann, was an instant hit when it was published last October.

The book is now in its second printing. Presented by the Richmond Times-Dispatch and Pediment Publishing, "Back Roads" is available through The Times-Dispatch and booksellers throughout the Richmond area.

Brown and Lohmann have traveled around Virginia for many years, reporting stories from the Atlantic Ocean to Cumberland Gap and many places in between, introducing readers to fascinating people and places they have encountered along the way. The book features a collection of almost 300 of Brown's photographs from the road, accompanied by insights from Lohmann that tell the stories behind the pictures.
