Baltimore Sun to use My Team Scoop for high school sports

Posted

The Baltimore Sun will utilize Presteligence's My Team Scoop high school sports platform to post scores and schedules for 140 schools under the Baltimore Sun Media Group.

Baltimore Sun will embed the My Team Scoop widgets to display a massive score board where users can see scores from all games within its eight-county coverage area.  For more detailed coverage of the events, users will link to the hosted My Team Scoop site.

Carroll Varsity, one of the first My Team Scoop partner sites and now owned by Baltimore Sun Media Group, is included in this project.  Carroll Varsity, along with Annapolis Capital Gazette, will have content posted to Baltimore's site in addition to its own local site.  Scores, schedules, rosters and other team information is entered once and immediately available across the appropriate portals.

The staff will take advantage of My Team Scoop's ability to reverse publish and will export box scores and standings for print.  Fans can receive real time score updates via text and email notifications for teams they follow.

Baltimore Sun will join Utica Observer-Dispatch, Daily Ardmoreite, Stockton Record, Charleston Newspapers, Erie Times-News, and Beaver County Times in launching this for the 2015 Football season.  Other media partners currently using My Team Scoop include 1480 WHBC Radio, www.whbcsports.com, Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, www.Lonestarvarsity.com, and AIM Media Texas newspaper, www.RGVSports.com
