NCPA/NCPS hires Phil Lucey as executive director

The board of directors of the North Carolina Press Association and North Carolina Press Services has hired a new executive director.  Philip Lucey, currently the executive director at the New Mexico Press Association, has accepted an offer to begin working in N.C. beginning May 2. 

"Philip Lucey was chosen from among a long list of candidates, a number of whom brought a lot to the table," said Pat Taylor, president of the board.  "Clearly, his experience in New Mexico doing exactly what we were looking for put him in a unique position, but it was his success at doing that job that made him our first choice."
