PAGE Cooperative names new CEO

Gary Blakeley has joined PAGE Cooperative as its next CEO. Blakeley's career has included senior level positions in prepress, production, newsprint negotiation, enterprise purchasing and information technology. He formerly worked with Freedom Communications, Olive Software and Southern Lithoplate.

While at Freedom, Blakeley served for many years as a hard-charging member of PAGE's supplier committee, and helped PAGE implement new ideas including one of the cooperative's top revenue categories today. 

"Gary has an extensive and diverse background, an unrelenting passion for the newspaper industry, and an eagerness to see PAGE generate even more value for its members," said PAGE President Brandon Eyerly. "The search committee interviewed a lot of very talented candidates and I'd like to thank the committee as well as all of those who applied for this position. We are excited for the future of PAGE and eager to leverage Gary's many strengths for the benefit of our members."
