Former SNPA President Ruth Holmberg dies

Ruth Holmberg, former publisher of the Chattanooga Times and local philanthropist, died on April 19 at her home.

Former SNPA President Ruth Holmberg died April 19 at her home at the age of 96. Holmberg, who served as publisher of the Chattanooga Times Free Press for nearly three decades, was president of SNPA in 1984-85.
