Debe Johnson will retire May 1, from her role as advertising and promotions director of The Sentinel-Record in Hot Springs, Ark.
Johnson is retiring after nearly 44 years of service to the hometown newspaper. Johnson began her career at The Sentinel-Record in 1975 at the age of 19.
Harry Porter, general manager of The Sentinel-Record, said: "Debe has been an integral part of the success of The Sentinel-Record. Her dedication and work ethic (have) been unmatched during her 44 years. We hope she thoroughly enjoys the next chapter in her life. She will be greatly missed."
