Kerrville paper names new managing editor

Ricky Treon

Ricky Treon has joined The Kerrville (Texas) Daily Times as its new managing editor.

Treon brings with him years of experience in reporting and editing as he looks to add to The Times' award-winning news team. He comes from the Amarillo Globe-News, which is similar in circulation size.

Treon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008, covered a variety of sports for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as a sports correspondent from 2008-09 before moving to Amarillo, where he resided until moving to Kerr County.
