Wiseman promoted to A-J's general manager

Shoni Wiseman has been promoted to general manager of the Lubbock (Texas) Avalanche-Journal.

Wiseman will continue to serve as advertising director, a position she was promoted to in July 2018. She began her career in advertising at the A-J over 20 years ago.

As general manager, Wiseman will be the A-J's point-of-contact for businesses and the community at-large. She will continue to oversee advertising revenue, working with the A-J's advertising team to bring in new customers and keep existing ones through innovative promotional campaigns.

"I am very excited to work so closely with the community in which I was born, raised and educated," Wiseman said. "I am deeply rooted in West Texas and am anxious to nourish the partnerships we've formed with area businesses as well as build strong relationships in the future."

Wiseman is a Lubbock native who graduated from Monterey High School and Texas Tech. She is married to Damon, and they have one teenage daughter, Lynnli. Wiseman said that, in her free time, she enjoys traveling and visiting with family and friends.
