Naples Daily News' live event engages choice merchants
The Naples (Fla.) Daily News has been running its annual Southwest Florida's Choice Awards event for 10 years, and this year generated $110,000 in revenue from its preview and winners special sections.
Of this, $80,000 came from the preview special section (which was a 35 percent increase from the year before) and $30,000 came from the winners special section (a 10 percent increase from the year before). Furthermore, the paper generated an additional $6,000 from event ticket sales.
Read more from Second Street about how the paper's post-ballot cocktail reception and awards ceremony continued to engage advertisers after the ballot was over.
