Tim Burke is SNPA's new treasurer

Tim Burke, publisher of The Palm Beach Post, West Palm Beach, Fla., has been named treasurer of SNPA. 

Burke succeeds Patrick Dorsey, regional vice president for the Coastal Group of GateHouse Media and publisher of the Herald-Tribune Media Group in Sarasota, Fla., who recently was named as SNPA's new president. 

"We're so pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Burke of The Palm Beach Post as treasurer of SNPA," said SNPA Chairman Chris Reen, president and publisher of The Oklahoman Media Company. "Tim has been an outstanding leader in our industry for many years and is well respected in his community and among his peers. He adds to an already strong executive committee that works very closely together to help lead the SNPA and to help forge our future.  It's more evidence that our succession planning for the future of our organization is in good hands."

"It is an honor to serve SNPA and our members," Burke said. "It's a tough act to follow so many outstanding leaders through the years. However, I am excited to help SNPA continue to lead our industry toward a successful future."

Prior to this appointment, Burke served on the SNPA Board of Directors as the director from Florida.  A new director for Florida will be appointed by the SNPA Nominating and Executive committees.
