Rose Thomas has been named advertising director of The Walton Tribune in Monroe, Ga.

David Clemons, the paper's editor and publisher, announced the appointment.

Thomas succeeds Madison Graham, who is remaining on the paper's staff in a part-time position as an advertising consultant.

"As The Walton Tribune's new advertising director, I want to help your business grow by making newcomers and residents aware of your business offerings," Thomas said, "and at the same time drive innovation in Walton County."

"I'm very pleased Rose agreed to join us," Clemons said. "She has a wide range of experience that will help her be successful, and I know she's going to do great things in Walton County."

Thomas comes to Walton County from Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Ala., where she was a content specialist for the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau.
